School and Social Life Balance

October 29, 2026 School is so important to be on top of and not fall behind on. In college especially it can be so easy to not show up, turn in work late or not at all, and even jumping from major to major when you feel like you don't want to do what is being given to you. Having a social life can be helpful for keeping you happy while also focusing on school. I believe that a healthy balance between the two is a great method to be a great student, while also saving time for friends, family, and most importantly, yourself. This is a small reminder to find that balance because once you do, the college experience will get so much better and more efficient.

Campfire Cookout

October 26, 2025 This weekend I had a cookout with my friends. We sat around campfire with music and food. We decided to grill hamburgers and hotdogs. We bought a couple bags of chips as well. It was such a fun time getting together and socializing with everyone, especially sitting around a fire in the chilly fall weather. I will definitely go again if it gets planned!

My Day Off

October 24, 2025 Yesterday was a nice day off. It was a little rainy and I just caught up on work all day since I didn't have class to attend to. My roommates and a couple friends of mine all decided we wanted to go to the Grove City Outlets. We hoped in the car and drove there and spent around two hours hanging out and looking at the stores before they closed. It was my first time there, and it was such a cute little area, conveniently close to campus. Afterwards we went to Movie Scoop to watch the new Black Phone movie. It wasn't as scary as other people were saying but it was definitely a great movie. I recommend for sure. I love getting out and being social, so yesterday was a good and relaxing day for me.

My Homecoming Weekend

October 23, 2025 It was a shame I could not be present for homecoming weekend up at Slippery Rock, I heard it was a great time. I really wanted to watch IUP vs. SRU. I was thrilled when I found out we won. I was at a wedding in Dayton Ohio instead, which was great to be a part of. It was a four-hour drive, so not too long but not comfortable either. The wedding was a small, beautiful, Orthodox ceremony. It lasted about 40 minutes in the church, and the reception was so long but definitely fun. I got to see family I haven't seen in a while and celebrate with them too. It was a long weekend and I'm happy to be back on campus!
